Gold prices declined across all purity levels today (Friday, October 30, 2026), compared with the previous rates released by major jewellers and the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA).

Gold- Silver Outlook

Vedika Narvekar, Research Analyst- Commodities & Currencies, Anand Rathi Share and Stock Broker says, "Gold fell 1% to $3,983/oz on Friday, slipping below $4,000 and close to its lowest since mid-July. It is heading for a second straight monthly loss, down more than 4% in October. Inflation data added to the pressure. The US PCE price index rose 0.5% in September, its biggest rise since March, and the Fed has left the door open to a rate hike before year-end. Oil also gained on signs that the US may resume strikes on Iran after next week’s midterm elections, which keeps inflation worries alive. Tech stocks led a global selloff for a second day, raising the risk that investors sell gold to cover equity losses. Further, silver fell 2.5% to $50.86 and is down about 16% this month. It has erased all its gains since early December. The gold-silver ratio is at its highest since December, which shows silver is more vulnerable than gold. Some support for gold is coming from Chinese households and long-term investors buying the dip."
