Gold prices fell slightly today (Wednesday, July 8, 2026) on leading jewellery brands, including Tanishq, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kalyan Jewellers and Joyalukkas. These jewellery brands reduced their 22-carat gold rates today across major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram. The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) has also updated its indicative retail selling rates for 24K, 22K, 20K and 18K gold jewellery and 999-purity silver jewellery, showing a rise in their rates. Here's a look at the latest gold prices and the 999-purity silver rate today across leading brands and cities.

Gold outlook
Prithviraj Kothari, managing director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., president of IBJA says, "Gold and silver turned weaker after fresh US strikes on Iran shook an already fragile ceasefire, sending oil prices and the dollar higher and reviving inflation worries. The Strait of Hormuz saw renewed tension after tanker attacks, pushing Treasury yields up and strengthening the dollar. With Fed minutes from the June meeting due for release, markets have raised September rate-hike odds to over 63%, up from 57% a day earlier, adding further pressure on bullion. Technically, both metals rallied sharply in the last week and could see short-term pullbacks — gold toward $4,080–4,100 and silver toward $59 — before resuming their climb higher."

22k, 24k gold rates at Tanishq today

As of July 8, 2026, Tanishq's price for 22k gold jewellery is Rs 13,290 per gram across New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore and Bengaluru. On July 7, 2026, the same variety of gold was priced at Rs 13,360 per gram.

The current price of 24-carat gold at the same brand is Rs 14,498 per gram.

22k, 24 gold prices at Malabar Gold & Diamonds

The current price for 22k gold jewellery at Malabar Gold & Diamonds is Rs 13,245 per gram in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore and Bengaluru. On July 7, 2026, 22k gold at the same brand was priced at Rs 13,315 per gram.

The current price of 24-carat gold at Malabar Gold & Diamonds is Rs 14,449 per gram.

The current price for 22k gold jewellery at Kalyan Jewellers is Rs 13,245 per gram in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore and Bengaluru. On July 7, 2026, 22k gold at the same brand was priced at Rs 13,315 per gram.
