Tata AIG offers cover for treatment overseas
The global cover feature is available up to the full sum insured value with a choice to avail treatment anywhere in the world.

The “Medicare” individual policy provides benefits such as global treatment, travel fare for companion, day-care expenses and sum insured restoration. Under the policy, for instance, a 30-year-old male would need to pay a premium of Rs 6,724 (excluding taxes) on a Rs 5-lakh sum insured.
“The new product reinforces Tata AIG’s focus on the health insurance segment by offering a plan that does not compromise on coverages and features,” said Parag Ved, executive vice president and head, consumer lines, Tata AIG. The cover is available in three variants: ‘MediCare Protect’, ‘MediCare’ and ‘MediCare Premier’.
The global cover feature is available up to the full sum insured value with a choice to avail treatment anywhere in the world, provided the diagnosis was made in India and the policyholder travels abroad for treatment. The “restore benefit cover” automatically reinstates the basic sum insured upon exhaustion following a claim. The policyholder can get a higher sum insured without any additional premium through a cumulative bonus of 50% of the sum insured for every claim-free year, accumulating up to a maximum of 100% of the sum insured.
