5 reasons health insurance claims get rejected

Every health insurance plan has a waiting period and, if a claim is made during the waiting period, it will be rejected.

1.Incorrect information or misrepresentation of details related to age, income, existing medical insurance policies, profession, or hobbies.
2.Non-disclosure of pre-existing illnesses, family medical history, smoking, or alcohol consumption can result in claim rejection.
3.Every health insurance plan has a waiting period and, if a claim is made during the waiting period, it will be rejected.
4.If the health insurance policy has expired or lapsed due to nonpayment of premium, the insurer is not liable to provide medical coverage.
5.Each insurance policy has a fixed time frame for claim intimation, failing which the insurer can deny the claim request.
