Did Union Budget 2017 help in job creation?
Most professionals feel the focus on education and skill development will help resolve the problem of unemployment. However, results will be gradual.

*55 per cent of working professionals say Budget 2017 announcements were not pro job-creation.
*From the above 55 per cent, 65 per cent say the Budget may eventually impact job creation and 35 per cent say there will be no effect on job creation whatsoever.
*Respondents believe tax relaxation will boost buying. Consumer-driven products and services will benefit. This will increase employment by at least to 5-10% mainly in these sectors.
*Most professionals feel the focus on education and skill development will help resolve the problem of unemployment. However, results will be gradual.
*80 per cent of surveyed professionals say opening of 100 international skill centres will encourage employment in the long-term.
*75 per cent lauded the announcement of special scheme for creating employment in leather/footwear sector.
*70 per cent respondents say government focus on making India a global hub for electronics manufacture will help create more jobs.
*60 per cent feel announcements on personal tax will also aid employment numbers, sooner or later.
