Jaylinn Hawkins is a football safety currently playing for the New England Patriots. Born on August 25, 1997, in Buena Park, California, he stands 1.85 meters tall and weighs 94 kilograms. Hawkins played college football at California before entering the NFL.

He was selected in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round with the 134th overall pick. Hawkins began his professional career with the Falcons, where he played from 2020 to 2023, gaining valuable experience during his first four seasons in the league.

In 2023, Hawkins joined the Los Angeles Chargers and spent one season with the team before moving to the New England Patriots. He has been with the Patriots since 2024 and remains an active player, currently in his sixth NFL season.

“As she walked down to meet her parents, all I could do was stare and try to contain my excitement at the thought of getting to spend the rest of my life with her,” he said. “She talked a lot about how nervous she was to walk down the aisle, but I honestly didn’t feel a single nervous bone at all,” he added.

The couple also told the outlet that they met during their time at UC Berkeley but didn’t start dating until 2020, when they reconnected through mutual friends.

“I’m not trying to sound corny, but it was kind of like love at first sight,” Jaylinn stated, as quoted by VOGUE. “I didn’t know how or when, but I knew she was going to be in my future somehow,” he added. The two student-athletes began their relationship just as friends, since they were both dating other people.

“The more I got to know her, the more I saw how real she was, how smart, and how I admired the way she carried herself," Jaylinn told VOGUE. “It went way beyond beauty. I can honestly say I liked her for who she was as a person first,” he continued.

Jayda moved to Los Angeles for work after completing her graduation, and Jaylinn was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. But they were able to reconnect in 2020 when Jayda came to Atlanta for a friend's birthday. “I finally got the chance to shoot my shot, and she curved me,” Jaylinn said.

“That made me like her even more!” The football player did a small April Fools joke on Jayda when he was back in California during the offseason, and finally, there was a spark. “We’ve talked every day since,” Jaylinn stated. “When something’s meant to be, it will always find its way back to you.”
