Gervonta 'Tank' Davis has finally been taken into custody two weeks after officials put out a warrant for his arrest over domestic violence allegations, TMZ reported. According to a spokesperson for the Miami Gardens Police Department, Davis was arrested on Wednesday. The search for the undefeated boxer involved assistance from the US Marshals, as reported by TMZ, but officials have not yet released details on how he was eventually grabbed. An arrest warrant was issued for Davis on charges of battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping, following an investigation by the department’s Special Victims Unit.

The alleged incident took place in the early morning hours of October 27, 2025, at a gentlemen’s club in Miami Gardens where the woman was working. She reported the alleged incident to authorities two days later with her attorney present. Her identity has not been made public under Marcy’s Law. Investigators allege that Davis grabbed the woman by her hair and neck and forcibly led her down a stairway toward a parking garage.

Police said she was able to break free and run to her coworkers after he let go. The woman suffered minor injuries, including noticeable bruising on her left arm, and later received medical treatment. Authorities stated that the two had known each other since 2022 and previously shared a brief intimate relationship that ended about a month before the incident. Investigators said surveillance video supported key parts of her account, prompting the arrest warrant.


According to TMZ, the alleged assault led to the cancellation of Tank’s planned November fight against Jake Paul. Following the emergence of the accusations, Paul and Most Valuable Promotions decided to call off the bout.
