The man, identified as Bryan Beltran, claimed he was 'nearly struck three times' by Jones' truck during the incident.
"You're almost f-king hitting me bro," Beltran is heard addressing Jones in the viral video.
Jones immediately left his truck to confront Beltran, saying, "You gotta calm down bro. You gotta relax yourself bro," and then flipping him off.
Jones has a history of legal troubles, several involving vehicles. According to AOL, in March 2020, the former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion was arrested after police heard gunshots and discovered him sitting in a car. He failed a breathalyzer test and faced multiple charges, including DWI. As part of a plea agreement, Jones pleaded guilty to the DWI charge, while the remaining charges were dropped, allowing him to avoid jail time.
Beltran later shared his side of the incident on his Instagram page, which has since gained significant attention following the video's emergence online.

"I revved my car at him the first time it almost happened he still almost hit me twice after that so I flipped him off then he proceeded to stop in the middle of the road back up and come into the same parking lot," Beltran wrote on Instagram.
Beltran also noted that he knew the man confronting him was the former UFC champion.
Hopefully soon i make another video where we can maybe shake hands and 'squash the beef' lol."
Beltran also posted a separate paragraph responding to various commenters in his mentions.
"All of you with John’s meat in your mouth relax, it ain’t that deep," he wrote. "I know he was a world champion, and no, I don’t think I could beat him in a fight lol. But like I said, he should still be more careful. Being famous or trained doesn’t matter when it comes to someone pulling a trigger. Anything can happen. And like I said, I don’t carry and didn’t try anything, so I’m not someone to worry about."
