In an affidavit filed in Connecticut federal court, Grant, who worked at WWE from June 2019 through early 2022, alleged that McMahon created a job “made from scratch” especially for her in order to gain control over her, Post reported.
McMahon resigned as CEO of WWE in 2022 and later stepped down from his role at TKO Group Holdings in January 2024 after Grant filed her lawsuit. The Post also reported that, according to Grant, McMahon subjected her to repeated sexual abuse beginning even before she started working at WWE, with the alleged misconduct worsening and escalating throughout her employment.
She further claimed that the encounters with the former WWE CEO became increasingly violent with passage of time, causing physical injuries and emotional distress.
The Post reached out to McMahon for comments, who strongly denied the allegations previously. “Throughout this experience, I have always denied any intentional wrongdoing and continue to do so,” he had said in January 2024, as quoted by The Post. “I am confident that the government’s investigation will be resolved without any findings of wrongdoing.”
Grant alleges violent sexual encounters with McMahon
"Ms. Grant did not raise a complaint concerning her abuse because she lived in a state of duress and was fully under McMahon’s control, her survival ultimately depending on her complete submission to McMahon." According to the lawsuit filed in January 2024, McMahon used sex toys that he named after wrestling stars causing injuries to Grant such as bruising and bleeding, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Senior officials knew about the abuse, says lawsuit
Grant alleged she was "subjected to repeated physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault and sexual trafficking perpetrated" by McMahon, and "most senior officials and talent knew about and facilitated the abuse" she experienced.
"Instead of protecting Ms. Grant, WWE and McMahon conspired to use his coercive control over her to conceal its leaders’ wrongdoing and bar Ms. Grant from speaking out or seeking help," the lawsuit states, as quoted by FOX News.
Brock Lesnar named in an affidavit filed by Grant
In the 40-page affidavit, Grant alleged that back in July 2021, McMahon “mercilessly” beat her to “prepare” her for a sexual encounter with Brock Lesnar, NY Post reported.
She claimed that McMahon “continued to advertise” her as part of as “part of the deal to convince” Lesnar to sign a new contract with WWE.
