UFC Freedom 250 is set to deliver one of the biggest fight nights in UFC history, headlined by an explosive lightweight title clash between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. The historic event will take place on June 14, 2026, at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, DC. The co-main event features Alex Pereira against Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title. June 14 marks Flag Day in the United States and also coincides with the US President Donald Trump's birthday. The date falls close to Independence Day, which inspired the event’s patriotic name. UFC Freedom 250 is being promoted as part of the celebrations surrounding the 250th anniversary of the United States, adding historic significance to the blockbuster fight card.

UFC Freedom 250 is shaping up to be one of the most unique events in MMA history. The promotion originally unveiled six fights for the historic card, headlined by a lightweight title unification showdown between undefeated champion Topuria and interim champion Gaethje. In another blockbuster matchup, former two-division champion Pereira moves up once again, this time challenging Gane for the interim heavyweight title.

The UFC later expanded the lineup by adding a seventh fight, featuring heavyweight knockout artists Derrick Lewis and Josh Hokit. The card also includes major clashes such as Sean O'Malley vs Aiemann Zahabi, Mauricio Ruffy vs Michael Chandler, Diego Lopes vs Steve Garcia, and Bo Nickal against Kyle Daukaus.

Because the event will be held on White House grounds, which fall under federal jurisdiction, no state athletic commission can officially regulate the fights. To address the issue, the UFC invited the Association of Boxing Commissions to oversee the contests in an advisory role, allowing all seven bouts to proceed as sanctioned professional fights.
