NFL star Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo announce they’re expecting baby no. 2 on her 34th birthday

Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo revealed on May 8 that they are expecting their second child. The news was shared directly by Culpo on Instagram, where she posted a family photograph that included visible sonogram images, confirming the pregnancy. The announcement coincided with Culpo’s 34th birthday.

"Best birthday gift ❤️ Baby #2 coming soon ��," the couple captioned their joint Instagram post, which showed the couple at a picnic outdoors alongside their 9-month-old daughter, Colette Annalise, and their dog, with a strip of sonogram images included as part of the reveal.

Neither Culpo nor McCaffrey disclosed the baby’s sex, due date, or how far along the pregnancy is at the time of the post.


The timing of the announcement places this pregnancy less than a year after the birth of the couple’s first child, daughter Colette Annalise McCaffrey, who was born on July 13, 2025.

McCaffrey and Culpo began their relationship in 2019, became engaged in April 2023 during a trip to Utah, and were married on June 29, 2024, in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

Culpo has previously spoken about the realities of postpartum, a phase she has described as both “the hardest and the best” period of her life as she adjusted to motherhood, recovery, and a new daily rhythm.

At the time of the announcement, as one of the NFL’s most dynamic and complete running backs, McCaffrey has earned accolades, including All-Pro honors and the AP Comeback Player of the Year award following a standout 2025 season, and has become a central figure in the 49ers’ offense.

He also signed a contract extension that made him the highest-paid running back in NFL history at the time of signing. The pregnancy news arrives during a comparatively quieter portion of the football calendar, before preseason preparation begins.
