The Oklahoma City Thunder delivered a dominant performance on Thursday night, crushing the Los Angeles Lakers 139-96 at home. Leading the charge was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 28 points, while Luguentz Dort and Jalen Williams made key contributions on both ends of the court. The victory extended Oklahoma City’s remarkable run to four straight wins and 16 victories in their last 17 games. The loss snapped the Lakers’ four-game winning streak and marked their worst defeat since November 2023. Austin Reaves led Los Angeles with 15 points in an otherwise difficult outing.

It was a tough night for Luka Doncic, who struggled offensively and finished with just 12 points on 3-of-10 shooting. His night ended early in the third quarter when he suffered a left hamstring strain while driving to the basket. Doncic appeared visibly upset as he headed off the floor. Lakers head coach JJ Redick confirmed that Doncic will undergo an MRI to assess the injury.

The game quickly turned one-sided, as the Thunder built a double-digit lead within the opening minutes and never looked back. By halftime, they were firmly in control with an 82-51 advantage. It marked the third time this season Oklahoma City has led by 30 or more points at the break - twice against the Lakers.

Dort set the tone early, scoring 14 points in the first quarter while knocking down four 3-pointers and adding defensive pressure with multiple steals. Williams also filled the stat sheet, finishing with 10 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, while Isaiah Joe added 20 points, most of them coming after halftime.
