Jalen Brunson once again led from the front as the New York Knicks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 108-94 on Friday to grab a commanding 3-0 lead in their Eastern Conference playoff series. The victory marked New York’s sixth consecutive postseason win and left them just one triumph away from reaching the conference finals. The Knicks have looked unstoppable since recovering from a 2-1 deficit in their opening-round matchup against Atlanta Hawks. Brunson delivered another clutch performance, finishing with 33 points and nine assists while controlling the tempo throughout the night. The Knicks also dominated physically, with Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart combining for 23 rebounds to frustrate Philadelphia on both ends of the floor.

Backed by a loud home crowd, the Sixers started aggressively. Paul George exploded for 15 first-quarter points as Philadelphia raced to an early double-digit advantage against a New York side missing injured forward OG Anunoby.

However, the momentum quickly shifted in the second quarter. The Knicks tightened their defense and caught fire offensively, shooting an impressive 57 percent while pouring in 33 points to take control before halftime.

A heated battle between Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid added intensity to the contest, with both stars battling through foul trouble in a physical matchup.

Philadelphia briefly threatened late in the third quarter by cutting the deficit to two points, but their offense soon collapsed. Missed shots and costly errors allowed New York to pull away, while Brunson once again delivered in crunch time.

The Sixers faded badly in the final period, with George failing to score after his explosive opening quarter. Meanwhile, the Knicks strengthened their reputation as serious championship contenders and moved within touching distance of their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999.
