The announcement comes after Mayweather recently declared his intention to come out of retirement for a fourth time following a 2026 exhibition bout against Mike Tyson. Pacquiao, meanwhile, returned from retirement last July and fought then-WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios to a majority draw. He is also scheduled to compete in an exhibition bout against Ruslan Provodnikov on April 18 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
