De’Aaron Fox’s return to the Western Conference Finals took a concerning turn on Friday night when the San Antonio Spurs guard went down in the third quarter against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Fox appeared to suffer an injury after falling awkwardly late in the period and immediately struggled to put weight on his right foot before being subbed out and heading to the bench.

The star guard, who had already missed the first two games of the series with a right ankle sprain, had only just returned to action as the Spurs entered Game 3 tied 1-1. Before exiting, Fox contributed 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal in 25 minutes, providing a steady presence in San Antonio’s backcourt.

Fox’s earlier absence came after he injured his right leg in the semifinal round, when it was rolled on during a physical matchup, forcing him to sit out multiple games. With his latest setback, the Spurs now face renewed uncertainty as they await medical evaluation and an official update on his condition.
