Dana White drops big update on UFC White House event; Here’s what we know about the fight card

UFC CEO Dana White has dropped a major update on the UFC’s planned White House event, confirming that the fight card’s structure is already in place. Speaking after Zuffa Boxing 3, White said the promotion is now finalizing matchup options and logistics. The June 14 South Lawn show is shaping up to be a historic moment for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. During the post-fight press conference, White confirmed that the framework of the UFC’s highly anticipated White House event is already in order.


The June 14 event is expected to be a landmark show for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, not only because of the unique White House setting but also due to the scale and attention surrounding it. White has repeatedly described the event as something that will stand apart from anything the UFC has done before.


Although fans are still waiting for full confirmation of the fight lineup, White’s comments suggest the promotion is close to wrapping things up, with final details expected to be settled soon.

"We have two different options laid out, and the matchmaking process has already started," White told reporters, initially stating, "We got the White House card done last week."

"We laid out two different options. I didn't say it was done, I said the card was built," White explained when further asked about the topic.

White also said that he and the UFC’s chief content officer, Craig Borsari, will travel to Washington, DC this week for key meetings with Donald Trump. According to MMA Crossfire, the talks will focus on finalizing the fight card as well as major production plans, with three different broadcast presentation options set to be reviewed.

"We'll see what he likes and what he doesn't like," White stated.

The June 14 event lines up with America’s 250th birthday celebration and also falls on the 80th birthday of Donald Trump, adding extra ceremonial importance to the occasion. White has previously said that around 5,000 people are expected to attend on the South Lawn, with fighters possibly making dramatic walkouts from the Oval Office area.
