Arkansas Derby winner Muth has welcomed his first foal, a healthy filly, marking an exciting milestone in the champion’s post-racing career. The arrival signals the beginning of Muth’s legacy at stud as fans and breeders look ahead to the next generation. The first foal by multiple Grade 1 winner Muth was born on January 1 at Gainesway Farm in Lexington, Kentucky. The New Year’s Day arrival is a filly with a large white blaze, born at 2:30 AM out of the winning Tapit mare Marlinspike. She is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Bullet.

"I was really excited by the quality of Muth’s first foal, born on New Year’s day," said Gainesway general manager Brian Graves as quoted by Paulick Report. "She is very leggy with a beautiful long neck and sloping shoulder, plenty of hip and correct. If this foal is an indication of what's to come, then the future is incredibly bright for this stallion."

"On January 1, every Thoroughbred in the Northern Hemisphere turns a year older. This morning, we celebrated in the best way possible with the arrival of MUTH’S very first foal!" Gainesway posted on X.

Muth, a son of Good Magic, earned more than $1.5 million during his racing career with Grade 1 wins in the American Pharoah Stakes as a 2-year-old and the Arkansas Derby at three, reported Paulick Report. He is the only stallion retired for the 2025 season to have won Grade 1 races at both ages.

According to the Paulick Report, Muth was among North America’s most popular stallions in his debut stud season in 2025, breeding with 185 mares. He is set to stand the 2026 season at Gainesway with an advertised stud fee of $30,000.
