Allen ties career-high 22 as Cavaliers beat Raptors to advance to Eastern Conference semis

Jarrett Allen delivered a dominant performance, matching his playoff career-best with 22 points while pulling down 19 rebounds, as the Cleveland Cavaliers secured a 114-102 win over the Toronto Raptors in a decisive Game 7 on Sunday night. The victory sends Cleveland into the Eastern Conference semifinals after a fiercely contested series in which the home side won every game.

Donovan Mitchell also scored 22 points to lead Cleveland, while James Harden chipped in with 18 in a crucial supporting role. With the win, the fourth-seeded Cavaliers now turn their attention to a second-round clash against the top-seeded Detroit Pistons, with Game 1 set for Tuesday. The two Central Division rivals split their regular-season meetings, setting up an intriguing matchup.



For Toronto, Scottie Barnes led the way with 24 points and nine rebounds, while RJ Barrett added 23. Despite the loss, the Raptors showed promise in their first playoff appearance since 2022.


The game turned in Cleveland’s favor during a decisive stretch spanning the second and third quarters. Allen was instrumental, contributing 14 points and 10 rebounds in that phase alone, including five offensive boards. The Cavaliers flipped the momentum with a stunning 49-21 run over 15 minutes, turning a nine-point deficit into a commanding 19-point lead.

Toronto had controlled much of the first half and even led by 10 midway through the second quarter. However, Cleveland closed the half strong with an 11-2 surge to level the score at 49. Early in the third quarter, the Cavaliers seized control with a nine-point burst, highlighted by Mitchell and Evan Mobley, and never looked back.
