Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey delivered a sharp, expletive-filled rebuke during a CNN appearance on Wednesday night, January 7, criticizing what he called the “bullsh–t” fatal shooting during an anti-ICE protest in the city. The incident involved an ICE agent who opened fire and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good after federal authorities alleged she attempted to run over a law enforcement officer with her vehicle.

In the hours following the shooting in a residential Minneapolis neighborhood earlier Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security said Good tried to “weaponize” her car and ram into agents and termed it ‘domestic terrorism’. Frey rejected that account while speaking on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.

“That, and I’ll say it again, is bulls–t. That is bulls–t. The way that they’ve been conducting themselves is also bulls–t, and we need to be very clear-eyed about what is happening,” Frey said.
