Trump also noted that Moore was the first elected official to endorse him in the 2016 election. “Congressman Barry Moore, an America First Patriot who has been with me from the very beginning (he was the first Elected Official in the Country to Endorse me!), is running for the United States Senate in Alabama, a place I love and WON BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024, getting the highest vote in that great State’s history,” the US president said in his Truth Social post.
While endorsing Moore, Trump hailed Moore and called him a “very successful Businessman, civic Leader, and highly respected State Legislator prior to becoming a distinguished Congressman.” He also highlighted various issues including taxes, crime and law and order saying that after being elected, Moore will “fight” these issues “tirelessly.”

Who is Barry Moore
Moore joined the Alabama National Guard and Reserves after high school, serving for six years. During that time, he also pursued a degree in agricultural science at Auburn University and joined the Auburn ROTC Army Ranger Challenge Team, according to the House of Representatives website.
According to the US government website, his first job out of college was in the animal pharmaceutical industry, but he returned to his hometown of Enterprise to start Hopper-Moore Inc., an industrial waste hauling company, which has also been an Alabama general contractor for more than two decades.
In 2010, Barry was recruited to run for the Alabama State House to represent District 91 and served for eight years, including as Chairman of the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee and Vice-Chair of the Small Business and Commerce Committee.
Moore and his wife and business partner, Heather, are the proud parents of four children—Jeremy (married to Brittany), Kathleen (married to 1LT Jack Whitfield), Claudia, and Jeb. They are active members of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise.
Moore thanks Trump
In a Facebook post, Moore extended his gratitude to Trump saying that he is “honored and thankful to receive the endorsement.”
“I am truly honored and thankful to receive the endorsement of President Donald J. Trump. President Trump has always put America first, and I’m proud to have stood with him from the very beginning. With his support, I’m ready to get to work on day one. I'll continue fighting for Alabama values, secure borders, a strong economy, and putting the President's America First agenda into action. Thank you!,” he said in the post.
