However, there is no evidence supporting those claims as of writing this, and people close to Marquee have denied them.

Marquee graduated from GEO Next Generation High School in Baton Rouge and drew widespread attention after a video showed her dancing across the stage and some celebratory backflips moments after receiving her diploma during a graduation ceremony on May 19.

The clip was shared by Brittney Ford, a former teacher who said she had watched Marquee grow since first grade. “When you slammed the diploma down I knew it was up from there!” Ford wrote in the video's caption.


She also expressed pride in her former student, adding: “Ford Loves You Forever & Always you know I’m crying!!!!”

According to posts on her Instagram account, Marquee achieved more than just a high school diploma. She revealed that she earned an associate's degree while still in high school and will begin college as a junior.

“Thank you mom for always believing in me, supporting me, and pushing me to be better every single day. None of this would be possible without you ��,” she wrote in a post celebrating her academic accomplishments.

In another post, she posted multiple photos of herself holding a diploma abd wrote: “Thank you, Baton Rouge Community College, for this milestone! Proud to have earned my Associate of Arts Louisiana Transfer degree. On to the next chapter!��♥️”

GEO Next Generation High School states on its website that it allows students to take college-level courses and earn professional certifications while completing their secondary education.

Did A'Myria Marquee's diploma get revoked?


After the graduation video gained traction online, social media users began circulating claims that Marquee's diploma had been revoked because of her celebration on stage. The rumor spread across Instagram comment sections, where some users repeatedly claimed that school officials had taken action against her.

One commenter wrote, “THE DIPLOMA WAS REVOKED.” Others pushed back against the claim. In the comments of Ford's post, one user responded: “Her own mother made this post. Her diploma was not revoked. Earned diplomas can't be revoked because you, a stranger, got their feelings hurt.”

The same commenter also pointed to Marquee's social media account, writing: “Both of her diplomas are posted on her Instagram, @mamyrawasx, That's proof that Y'ALL WERE LYING.”

The rumor also attracted the attention of fact-checkers. In a public Instagram comment, a reporter from Lead Stories wrote that they were trying to verify the claim and asked whether Marquee's diploma had been taken away.

A instagram user close to Marquee stated, "No, her diploma did not get revoked !!” As of now, there has been no public statement from GEO Next Generation High School indicating that Marquee's diploma was revoked, and no evidence has emerged to support the viral claim.
