What was Stefanie Pieper’s last WhatsApp message before she disappeared and found dead in a suitcase?

Stefanie Pieper, a social media influencer whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase after she was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend Patrick M, had sent a final WhatsApp message to a friend before her disappearance describing a disturbing encounter. In the uncovered messages, Pieper claimed she saw “a dark figure,” saying there was “a creep in the stairwell,” as reported by The US Sun.

The 31-year-old influencer from Styria (Austria) vanished on November 23, 2025. The American news outlet also reported that she was last seen alive getting out of a taxi with her friend, on her way home from a Christmas party.

Pieper was reported missing by a colleague when she didn’t show up to a scheduled photoshoot, the Styrian Police Department previously shared in a press release, as reported by PEOPLE. After she failed to show up, the photographer went to her apartment to check on her and, when he did not find her there, he called the police.


Her ex-boyfriend Patrick, also 31, is accused of strangling Piper before stuffing her into a suitcase and burying her in a forest near the Austrian-Slovenian border. Police recently claimed that she may have been alive when she was allegedly locked inside the bag, according to German tabloid newspaper BILD.

After receiving information about Pieper’s whereabouts from her ex-boyfriend, who was arrested on November 24 and was in police custody as a suspect in the missing persons case, Slovenian authorities located Pieper a few days later, according to the release.

The influencer was found dead, and her body was concealed in a suitcase and buried in a forest in Slovenia. The 31-year-old Patrick confessed to the crime. Autopsy findings have raised a suspicion that the young woman may have still been alive when she was placed inside the suitcase and buried in the woods.
