740,000 sauté pans recalled over risk of parts ejecting and causing burns
US regulators have issued major product recalls affecting kitchenware and pharmaceutical items sold through leading retailers, citing risks ranging from burn injuries to potential bacterial contamination.

According to the Sun website, about 740,000 sauté pans have been recalled by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) due to a defect that could cause parts to “forcefully eject.”

The recall notice warns, “The metal cap on the screw that connects the sauté pan to the handle can become detached and forcefully eject when heated.” This “poses impact and burn hazards to consumers.”

Manufacturer E Mishan & Sons has received at least 98 reports of metal cap “ejection” incidents.

A consumer sustained bruises and burns in one of the reported incidents.

Both the 10-inch and 11.5-inch Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Sauté Pans are affected by the defect.

“Consumers should stop using the recalled sauté pans immediately,” the April 2 notice warns. Upon returning the recalled pans, consumers will receive a full refund from E Mishan & Sons.

According to the Sun website, between August 2021 and February 2026, the pans were available online through Walmart and Amazon, as well as both online and in-store at Costco.

Priced at around $40, the pans carry the UPC number 0-80313-08131-6.

For refunds or inquiries, consumers can contact E Mishan & Sons at 888-230-6698 or via its recall website. More than three million eye drop products have been recalled nationwide, including from retailers such as Walgreens and Kroger.

Consumers should follow recall advisories carefully, avoid using affected products, and maintain hygiene if contact has occurred, as most items are typically returned or safely discarded as directed.
