Shared frustration finds its place somewhere on the spectrum of dynamics in the group since this experience might not necessarily lead to solving the problem at hand, and it may not be moving towards resolution at all. It is emphasized that the existence of mild negative emotions among the group members serves to align people socially since people become aware that other group members are experiencing the same challenges and uncertainties as they do, as seen in Social Psychological and Personality Science (2020). There is a definite change in the communication process within the group, furthermore. People tend to become less diplomatic in their communication and speak much more directly. Hierarchies seem to disappear or are less emphasized, and people start using less formal language to talk to each other. Slowly, such incidents start developing an internal frame of reference for the team. No notes are ever taken on them, nor are they talked about very often, yet they become a part of how individuals interact with each other. A glance or a few words can speak volumes collectively. The anger may go away, but the memory stays on as a quiet way in which teams come to know each other without having to deal with perfect circumstances.
