Sophie Rain hits back at Florida governor candidate over 'OnlyFans Sin Tax': 'Sounds like you got buyers remorse'

OnlyFans star Sophie Rain fired back at a Florida gubernatorial candidate, James Fishback, who suggested taxing adult-content creators, accusing him of hypocrisy and political grandstanding. Sophie mocked the proposal on social media saying, 'Sounds like you got buyer’s remorse', implying critics were happy to consume such content before condemning it publicly. Her sharp response quickly went viral, sparking fresh debate over morality and taxation. Fishback, a first-time candidate, unveiled a controversial proposal to levy a 50% tax on income earned by creators in the adult content industry. He presented the policy as a moral stance and a central pillar of his campaign platform.

"As Florida governor in year one, I will push for the first-of-its-kind OnlyFans Sin Tax," Fishback wrote on X while floating the proposal.



"If you are a so-called OnlyFans creator in Florida, you are going to pay 50% to the state on whatever you so-called earn via that online degeneracy platform."

"We will raise hundreds of millions of dollars of income on the Only Fans Sin Tax," Fishback further wrote.

Fishback didn't stop there as he also took a direct aim at Rain, tagging her in a tweet and demanding an explanation.

"Hey @SophieRaiin, Pay up or quit OnlyFans. As Florida Governor, I will not allow a generation of smart and capable young women to sell their bodies online."


The 23-year-old internet sensation shot back on X with a biting, sarcastic response to the proposal, quipping, "Sounds like you subscribed and got buyer’s remorse after blowing your annual salary on an OF girl.”
