Social Security March 2026 Payments: Three groups paid so far - Check who's next to be paid in coming two weeks

Payments from the Social Security Administration (SSA) are continuing to roll out in March 2026, with three groups of beneficiaries already receiving their money. The remaining two payments will be sent over the next two weeks according to the regular monthly schedule. Millions of retirees, disability beneficiaries, and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients rely on these monthly payments for essential expenses. Typically, Social Security checks are distributed based on beneficiaries’ birth dates.

Payments from the SSA for March 2026 began earlier than usual for some beneficiaries. The SSI recipients received their payment on Friday, February 28, because March 1 fell on a Sunday. The SSA routinely moves payments to the previous business day when the scheduled date lands on a weekend or federal holiday.

Another group was paid shortly afterward on March 3. This deposit went to beneficiaries who started receiving Social Security before May 1997, as well as those who receive both Social Security and SSI benefits. For these recipients, the third day of each month serves as their regular payment date irrespective of their birth dates.


The next round of payments was issued on Wednesday, March 11, for retirees and beneficiaries whose birthdays fall between the 1st and 10th of any month. This group typically receives its payment on the second Wednesday of each month, marking the midpoint of the March payment cycle.

Two more payment dates remain in the schedule. Beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th are set to receive their checks on Wednesday, March 18, which is the third Wednesday of the month.

The final group - those born between the 21st and 31st - will receive their payments on Wednesday, March 25, the fourth Wednesday of the month. Once these deposits are completed, the March 2026 Social Security payment schedule will be fully wrapped up for all eligible beneficiaries.
