According to news agency AP, she expressed gratitude and thanked her colleagues for their support since her mother went missing from her Arizona home.
Nancy, who is reportedly missing since February 1, 2026, was last seen by family members on January 31, 2026, after spending the evening at the Tucson home of her older daughter, Annie Guthrie, and son-in-law. Authorities believe the 84-year-old was kidnapped, abducted, or otherwise taken against her will.
Will Savannah Guthrie return on air soon?
The “Today” show said Guthrie, a longtime co-host of the morning news program, plans to return to the air at some point but “remains focused right now on supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home,” as reported by AP.
The Guthrie family has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of their mother, but solid information in the case has been hard to come by.
Savannah Guthrie has been a co-anchor of the venerable NBC morning show since 2012. One of her former colleagues, Hoda Kotb, has returned to “Today” to fill in while Guthrie has concentrated on finding her mother.

Savannah seen hugging staff and crew
As Savannah Guthrie returned to the TODAY show studio, TMZ shared a video showing her emotions pouring out as she hugged staff and crew through the window of Studio 1A at Rockefeller Center on Thursday morning (March 5, 2026) in New York City.
The newscaster was apparently emotional while speaking to the assembled crew. There was, however, no clarity on what she said.
"Savannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY colleagues. While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now on supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home," a 'TODAY' spokesperson told TMZ.
