With jackpot odds at 1 in 292.2 million, the prize can grow quickly when no winner emerges.

The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $118 million ahead of the April 25 drawing after no one matched all six numbers in the Wednesday night's results. With the prize rolling over once again, anticipation is rising as players across the United States get ready for another chance at a massive win.

Winners can choose between two payout options. The annuity plan offers the full jackpot amount of $118 million paid over 30 years, with annual installments that increase by about 5 percent. Alternatively, winners can opt for a one-time lump sum, currently estimated at roughly $53.9 million before taxes.

Despite the steep odds - approximately 1 in 292.2 million - the game continues to attract widespread participation. Tickets are available in 45 states, along with Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, making it one of the most popular lotteries in the country.

Recent big wins have fueled the excitement. A ticket sold in Delaware landed a $231 million jackpot earlier this month, while another lucky player in Arkansas claimed $250.8 million in March, keeping enthusiasm for the game running high.
