Oreo’s new Firecracker Pop Cookies bring blue raspberry, lemon and cherry flavors for summer; here’s when you can buy them

Summer just got sweeter and a little louder. Oreo is bringing a nostalgic twist to snack aisles with the launch of its new limited-edition Firecracker Pop Oreos, a colorful flavor inspired by the classic frozen red, white, and blue ice pop many grew up enjoying. The new Firecracker Pop Oreos feature layers of blue raspberry, lemon, and cherry-flavored creme sandwiched between two signature golden Oreo cookies.

Oreo announced the seasonal flavor on its social media platforms, as reported by multiple outlets, including Delish and Snack & Bakery. The cookies will begin rolling out to retailers nationwide starting May 4 and will be available for a limited time while supplies last. Each pack is expected to retail for $5.79.

People cited a press release of the announcement shared with them, “Get ready for a blast of summertime nostalgia and a burst of flavor!” which added that the new product was “inspired by the delicious frozen treat we all know and love.”

The limited-edition release arrives as Oreo continues experimenting with unusual and bold flavors beyond its traditional sweet offerings.

Recently, Oreo, owned by Mondelēz International, introduced an online-only Dill Pickle-flavored cookie that was sold exclusively through its website for $9.99. The special six-packs were produced in small batches and quickly drew attention for their unexpected savory twist.

That was far from the brand’s first venture into unconventional flavors. Last year, Oreo released its “Oreo Thanksgiving Dinner Cookie Tin,” featuring a range of holiday-inspired flavors that included Pumpkin Pie, Caramel Apple Pie, Cranberry Sauce, Sweet Potato, and Creamed Corn, noted the independent in its reporting.

Perhaps the most surprising addition in that collection was a cookie inspired by Thanksgiving’s signature main course, Turkey and Stuffing. With Firecracker Pop Oreos now joining the lineup, Oreo seems determined to keep fans guessing what flavor might land next.
