‘Nightmare Scenario’: Tulsa business owners speak out as ‘serial defecator’ in thong and mask keeps returning at 4 a.m.

Tulsa's unidentified serial defecator

A man wearing little more than a thong, shower cap and face covering has reportedly been returning to a shopping center near 81st and Harvard around 4 a.m., defecating into a dog-waste bag and smearing it across business walls and doors.

Now, after multiple incidents and repeated police responses, business owners are hoping someone can help police “relieve” them of the problem.

The Tulsa Police Department said officers responded around 4:22 a.m. on August 19 to investigate an ongoing situation involving a mostly naked man who had reportedly been terrorizing businesses near the area.

Police later shared images of the suspect and details of the incidents on social media on August 21.

Business owner installed cameras after repeated incidents

According to police, one business owner had previously reported that the man was defecating into a dog-waste bag before smearing the feces across the walls and doors of the business. After the incidents continued, the owner installed security cameras to identify the person responsible.

The cameras reportedly captured the man returning to the area. Police said he was wearing only a thong, a cut-open mask and a shower cap.

In one of the videos, the man appears to expose himself toward the camera before again defecating into a doggie bag.

The unusual description has now become part of the public appeal for information. Police said the man has also been seen wearing red Crocs, purple latex gloves and a cross-body bag.

‘This is the exact nightmare scenario’ for business owners

The bizarre case has brought expected reactions from business owners and others online, with some describing the repeated incidents as an unusual yet serious burden on local businesses.

One business-focused social media account, SMB Attorney, described the situation as “the exact nightmare scenario they never warn you about in business school or an e-course.”

“As a business owner, this is the exact nightmare scenario they never warn you about in business school or an e-course,” SMB Attorney wrote.

The account described the repeated early-morning visits, the man's unusual clothing and the damage caused by the fecal smearing.

“The owner got so tired of cleaning it up that he installed security cameras. The guy just kept coming back, waved at the camera, exposed himself, and did it again,” the post said.

Tulsa police have responded multiple times

Tulsa police said officers have responded to the area on multiple occasions, but have not yet located the man. The department is now asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or knows where he is to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.

Callers can remain anonymous. Police are asking the public to reference case number 2026-038363 when providing information.

Tulsa ‘Pooper’ joins bizarre list of serial defecation cases

The Tulsa case has also drawn comparisons online to several other unusual incidents involving people repeatedly defecating in public or private spaces. Among them is Colorado's infamous “Mad Pooper,” a jogger who gained attention in 2017 after homeowners accused her of repeatedly defecating outside their homes while running.

Other cases have included Massachusetts' “Parking Lot Pooper,” who was accused of repeatedly defecating in a parking lot, and New Jersey's so-called “Pooperintendent of Schools,” a nickname given to a mystery defecator involved in a separate legal dispute.
