Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing from her Tucson home on February 1, 2026, with no trace found despite extensive searches. Journalist Brian Entin, deeply invested in the case, hopes to interview Nancy's daughter, Savannah Guthrie, to gain f...

Senior journalist Brian Entin has been following the case of Nancy's disappearance for more than 65 days, and he hopes to have the opportunity to sit down with her daughter and ‘Today’ show host Savannah Guthrie.
“I would love to interview Savannah [Guthrie], and I’ve obviously, behind the scenes, been trying to make that happen,” Entin, 40, told Us Weekly on Wednesday, April 8. “If anybody reads this and has a connection, that would be amazing, just because I’ve been so close to the case and I have so much sympathy for her and what her family has gone through.” Entin hopes to have his own conversation with Nancy’s daughter and discuss a range of topics.
“I would love to ask her more about her relationship with her mom, and then also about the investigation,” Entin said, as quoted by US Weekly.
“I understand her interview with the Today show and with Hoda, and Hoda is her friend, but there were some follow-ups that I would really like to ask about—about what they were kind of going through when they first learned what happened and what she thinks may have happened behind the scenes,” he added.
Brian Entin became ‘emotionally involved’ in the Nancy Guthrie case.
As his mother grows older, the journalist said he often finds himself thinking about her. During a brief break from Tucson to visit her, he knew exactly what he wanted to buy for her.
“Even the first time I came home, I got her security cameras. She didn’t have cameras!” he shared. “My own mom, she lives alone. How does she not have cameras? I think that aspect of it has kind of seeped into me. I’m an only child. I’m really close to my mom, and I think maybe that’s one of the reasons I’ve become so invested in this case.”
Meanwhile, Savannah returned to hosting the “Today” show on Monday for the first time since her mother disappeared from her Arizona home more than two months ago.
