As the investigation progressed over the following days, authorities came to believe that Savannah Guthrie’s mother had been taken from her home against her will. Despite multiple rewards, ransom notes, and hundreds of clues, no suspect has been identified or arrested in the case so far.
Savannah Guthrie, who has shared several video messages and updates since her mother’s abduction, shared a new message as the search for her missing mother entered its fourth month.
On Sunday, June 7, the ‘Today’ show host, 54, shared a post on her Instagram Stories that featured a short but emotional message, referring to the case involving her mom, who is believed to have been abducted by a masked man in the early hours of February 1, 2026, alongside a painting that depicts Christ's ascension. "Oh my, my soul, it cries out, soul, it cries out," the text reads. Savannah added, "Bring her home."

“There’s way too much work to be done that is ongoing, with some of the physical evidence we have,” the sheriff added, presumably referencing the mixed DNA found on the property that is still being tested in hopes of identifying a suspect.
Authorities believe that 84-year-old Nancy was taken against her will, according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who made the statement during a press conference on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Investigators said their assessment was further supported by alleged ransom notes that were sent to local media outlets.
On Mother's Day, Savannah posted a heartfelt video compilation featuring multiple clips of Nancy. “Mother, daughter, sister, Nonie — we miss you with our every breath,” Savannah wrote in the video's caption. “We will never stop looking for you. We will never be at peace until we find you.”
