According to a report from Argentine news outlet Infobae, the comedian collapsed at the front door of his home. Family members attempted to assist him by placing him in his truck, intending to go for the hospital, but he was already deceased.
Police officers later arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area surrounding the comedian’s residence as part of standard procedure, as per the outlet.
Who was Manolo Rojas?
Manolo Rojas was a widely admired figure in Spanish-language humor, known not only as a comedian but also as an impersonator, actor, and singer. His versatility across entertainment formats helped him connect with audiences through satire, character performances, and musical comedy, making him a recognizable name in Peru’s television and radio landscape.
Much of his popularity was shaped by his work on Los Chistosos on RPP, which marked its 33rd anniversary this year. His impersonations and comedic timing made him an emblematic presence on the show. On social media, Rojas built a strong following, with more than 140,000 followers across platforms, including nearly 85,000 on Instagram under the handle “manolorojasperu.”
Born Victor Manuel Rojas Ibañez, he also identified himself as a multi-talented artist. His profile highlighted his roles as “comediante, actor, cantante/compositor." He also appeared on television programs such as El Reventonazo de la Chola.
