Lorna Hajdini, executive director at J.P. Morgan who came under scrutiny for sexual harassment allegations leveled by former company staffer Chirayu Rana, has responded to the claims and “categorically denied the allegations," stating that she “never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual."

The allegations surfaced after The Daily Mail broke the story on Wednesday evening (April 30, 2026), citing shocking details from a now-retracted court document that has since been withdrawn for “corrections.”

Hitting back at the allegations, the 37-year-old executive, in a statement issued to The New York Post via her lawyers, said, “Lorna categorically denies the allegations. She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind and has never even been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place.”

Rana alleged that the coercion began shortly after he joined JPMorgan’s leveraged finance team in the spring of 2024. He filed an internal complaint in May 2025, alleging race- and gender-based harassment and abuse of power, before attempting to negotiate a payoff in the “millions” to leave the company, the NY Post reported, citing sources.

The lawsuit also names JPMorgan Chase as a defendant, accusing the bank of retaliation and failing to carry out a proper investigation into the matter.

In the suit filed by Rana, under the pseudonym John Doe, he accused Hajdini of subjecting him to sexual abuse. According to the suit, Rana alleged that Hajdini drugged him with Rohypnol and Viagra and threatened to reduce his bonus if he did not comply, effectively turning him into what he described as a “sex slave.”

A bank spokesperson, who declined to comment on the identity of Doe, said a thorough internal investigation by the bank’s HR department and in-house lawyers found no evidence to support them. The probe included a review of team phone records and emails.

“Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims,” the NY Post quoted the spokesperson as saying. “While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”
