Individuals affected by the Krispy Kreme data breach settlement have a limited time left to file claims as key 2026 deadlines approach, with eligible class members able to seek up to $3,500 for documented losses or opt for a smaller alternative cash payout.

The settlement arises from a class-action lawsuit alleging that the doughnut chain failed to adequately safeguard sensitive data during a November 2024 breach. According to the lawsuit, exposed information may have included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and financial account access details. Krispy Kreme has denied any wrongdoing or liability in the case.

Who is eligible for krispy kreme data breach settlement



According to the settlement website, the settlement class includes US residents who received a notice stating that their private information may have been impacted in the data breach.

You are included in the settlement class if:

  • You are a living individual residing in the United States
  • You were sent a notice stating your personal information may have been impacted in the data incident
Approximately 161,000 current and former employees were affected, according to the Maine Attorney General’s website.

What compensation is available


Under the Krispy Kreme data breach settlement, class members may choose between:

  • Up to $3,500 for documented, unreimbursed losses tied to the breach
  • Approximately $75 as an alternative cash payment without documentation
In addition, all eligible individuals can receive:

  • One year of credit monitoring, regardless of whether a claim is filed
However, individuals who do not file a claim will not receive monetary compensation.

Settlement status


The court granted preliminary approval on March 5, 2026. The final approval decision will be made during the fairness hearing scheduled for July 6, 2026. With deadlines approaching in June 2026, eligible individuals in the Krispy Kreme data breach settlement still have a limited window to claim compensation of up to $3,500 or opt for credit monitoring benefits before the case reaches final approval.
