JPMorgan sexual allegations case: Lorna Hajdini files countersuit against Chirayu Rana
Fresh updates have emerged in the JPMorgan sexual abuse allegations case, which was initiated by former employee Chirayu Rana, who filed a lawsuit accusing the company’s executive Lorna Hajdini of sexual harassment. Weeks after the alleged incident first surfaced, Hajdini, the 37-year-old executive director in the Leveraged Finance division at JPMorgan Chase and the central figure in the explosive lawsuit, stated that she is now being bombarded with rape threats, graphic sexual messages, and harassment following her former subordinate’s accusations of abuse.

The court documents of the countersuit filed by Hajdini were obtained by TMZ and Reuters. In the new court documents filed on Tuesday night (May 19, 2026) in a New York state court in Manhattan, she stated that her former colleague Rana fabricated allegations that she raped and drugged him to attract maximum press coverage, cause her pain, and extract millions of dollars from her and JPMorgan. “Unfortunately, it has succeeded despite its falsity,” the countersuit said, as quoted by news agency Reuters.

Hajdini has “been mocked, ridiculed, and harassed around the clock," becoming the focus of jokes and memes of a “vile, degrading, and sexual nature, all a direct consequence of the plaintiff's lies," according to the countersuit. “Plaintiff’s false, malicious, and bad faith statements have wreaked havoc on Ms. Hajdini’s life,” it added. According to the news agency, Hajdini is seeking unspecified damages from Rana for defamation, emotional distress, and other claims.

Hajdini says her life became a ‘living nightmare’

According to TMZ, in her new documents, Hajdini, who joined JPMorgan in 2011, said that her life has become a "living nightmare" since the allegations went viral online. Now her lawyers have filed disturbing emails she allegedly received as evidence of the damage being done.

One anonymous sender told Hajdini they hoped she'd be "gang raped" and urged her to commit self-harm while also wishing painful deaths on her family, the news platform reported.

Other messages took a different turn with strangers allegedly volunteering to become her "slave" after the accusations exploded across social media. One email, titled "your new toy"—mocked Hajdini's accuser and offered sexual favors ... while another graphic message referenced bonuses, office sex, and becoming her "new slave."

Hajdini calls allegations fabricated to ‘inflict maximum pain’

In her countersuit, Lorna Hajdini contends that the allegations brought against her were fabricated by Rana, her former subordinate, with the intent to “inflict maximum pain” and derail her career. She says the fallout has led to harassment, viral memes, and even AI‑generated sexual content targeting both her and her family.

Chirayu Rana, who filed suit under the pseudonym “John Doe” in April 2026, accused Hajdini of coercive sexual acts, racial abuse, and threatening his career if he refused her demands. The claims quickly gained traction online, fueled by graphic details, including allegations that Hajdini threatened to block Rana’s promotion unless he complied sexually. JPMorgan, however, has stood by Hajdini from the outset, stating that an internal investigation found no evidence to support the misconduct claims.
