During a rally in Hebron, Kentucky, US President Donald Trump endorsed Youtuber turned boxer and podcaster Jake Paul for political office. “I’m going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office,” Trump said. “You have my complete and total endorsement.”

At Trump’s urging, Paul joined him onstage wearing a tan suit. “What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage. We never back down from a fight, even if they’re much bigger than you, much, much bigger than you,” Paul said. “I feel all the local Kentuckians feel the same way. You guys have that fight. You guys have that swag.”

Paul, an Ohio native who grew up a few hours away from the rally location at Verst Logistics, included the importance of thriving local industries in his short speech. “My dad taught me to fight and all of our voices matter in America,” he said. “I’m never afraid to speak the truth.”

Earlier, before the 2024 election, Paul endorsed Trump, urging his followers to vote for the president. In a YouTube video, Paul told viewers to “do their own research and not to be a sheep in a world full of sheep.”

News reports also noted that Paul is unable to vote for Trump himself, as he resides in Puerto Rico, a US territory where residents cannot vote in presidential general elections.
