Is Tel Aviv planning a Khamenei-like assassination in Moscow? Putin reportedly sleeping in Kremlin palace as IDF spokesperson warns Russia ‘not to wish Israel ill’
Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly spending more time at the Kremlin, including overnight stays, amid heightened security concerns. This follows reports of a security breach in Iran and comments from Israeli Defense Forces personnel. M...

A paranoid Putin is said to be increasingly cautious, with reports suggesting he has taken steps to tighten control over communications and surveillance infrastructure in Moscow. Authorities have allegedly blocked mobile internet across parts of the capital amid fears that hostile actors may have compromised state surveillance systems, including CCTV networks, according to the Daily Express.
As per NBC, these connectivity issues started at the beginning of this month, which ‘disrupted the daily lives of millions of residents and hit businesses that rely on mobile internet, leading Muscovites to revert to cash.’ Some even wondered whether their government is doing it deliberately, the outlets note.
"According to sources, Putin himself has been spending much more time in the Kremlin - including overnight stays," several outlets, including UK based Daily Star, reported, citing the Russian Telegram channel VChK-OGPU, which is believed to have links to security services, and the Rucriminal website.
The developments come against the backdrop of heightened fears following a reported security breach that allegedly led to the assassination of Ali Khamenei in Tehran last month, drawing comparisons over vulnerabilities at the highest levels of power.
In a further move reflecting security concerns, Putin has reportedly blocked the Telegram messenger on Russia’s frontline in Ukraine, despite it being a crucial communication tool for troops. The restriction has sparked ‘outrage’ among Russian soldiers, particularly as they have already lost access to Starlink satellite internet services.
In recent days, Vladimir Putin has been holding secret meetings in his Kremlin sanctuary, avoiding his many palaces, according to VChK-OGPU. His close followers are reportedly unsettled by remarks from Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Anna Ukolova. As quoted by the Daily Star, she said, "I cannot comment or discuss all the capabilities we possess… But over the last two-and-a-half years… the Mossad, our Air Force, and indeed the Israeli army… have already demonstrated that we do possess such capabilities."
Ukolova added, "The mere elimination of these very important figures… including Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, already demonstrates that our capabilities are quite substantial." She concluded: "None of those who seek to harm us will be left unscathed… I hope that Moscow does not wish Israel ill at the moment. I would like to believe that."
