iPhone 18 Pro Max leak reveals three possible colours as Apple reportedly sticks with aluminum frame

Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max may arrive in three color variants and continue using an aluminum frame, according to a new leak that has surfaced online ahead of the device's expected launch later this year. The latest images, shared by a user on the Korean blog platform Lanzuk, appear to show the metal frames of the alleged iPhone 18 Pro Max in three different finishes. The photos offer what could be an early look at Apple's design choices for its next-generation flagship smartphone.

According to the leak, the iPhone 18 Pro Max frame is shown in Dark Cherry, Cloudy Blue, and Black colour options. The images depict a person holding the frame components, suggesting Apple may retain an aluminum construction for the device rather than switching to a different material.

The latest iPhone 18 rumors arrive as discussion around Apple's foldable ambitions continues to grow. Apple-focused leaker Sonny Dickson shared what he described as a dummy unit of Apple's long-rumoured foldable iPhone.

In a post on X, Dickson wrote: "First look at the iPhone Fold dummy unit. It doesn't look like Apple will offer multiple colors, with white currently appearing to be the only option. What do you think?"


Separately, a recent report from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro could receive a modest battery capacity increase. According to the leak, the US version of the iPhone 18 Pro may feature a 4,288mAh battery, while the China-specific variant could retain a 4,056mAh cell. If accurate, the change would represent less than a 1% increase over the battery capacity reportedly found in the iPhone 17 Pro.

Beyond battery improvements, the same leak pointed to a notable camera upgrade for the iPhone 18 Pro.

The report claims Apple is preparing to introduce a variable aperture lens for the device's 48MP primary camera. Such a feature would allow users to adjust the amount of light entering the camera sensor, potentially offering greater flexibility across different shooting conditions.

As with all pre-launch leaks, the reported iPhone 18 Pro Max colors, battery specifications, and camera upgrades remain unconfirmed.
