A chilling incident unfolded in Johns Creek, Georgia where police responded to a child's distress call about a domestic dispute. Officers discovered a couple deceased from gunshot wounds. Preliminary findings revealed shocking details. Police said...

In a press release, as cited by PEOPLE, the Johns Creek Police Department said, 911 dispatchers received the 911 call from the boy at around 11:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, June 7, 2026. After receiving the call, police arrived at the home, located on North Hillbrooke Trace in the northern suburbs of Atlanta.
The boy told the responding officers that his parents had been in an argument that escalated into a shooting. Police said preliminary findings suggest that Richard Holladay fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself.
"Preliminary investigations indicate the female died from a gunshot wound to the head and that the male died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head," police said in a statement, as quoted by PEOPLE. "Although investigations are early and ongoing, detectives believe the male shot and killed the female and then took his own life."
Police said three boys, ages 17, 13, and 12, were in the house at the time of the shooting. However, when officers reached the scene, the children were already outside the residence, according to 11Alive, citing law enforcement officials. "Next of kin have been notified, and the couple's children are safe," police shared.
Investigators further stated that Sunday marked the first time officers had been called to that address, the outlet reported. Although the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, authorities currently believe the shooting stemmed from an isolated domestic incident and have indicated that there is no known danger to the wider public.
