Gas Prices Today: Oil prices fell roughly 10% to a one-week low on Monday after US President Donald Trump announced a five-day delay on potential military strikes targeting Iranian power facilities, reported Reuters. The decision followed what he described as constructive talks aimed at easing tensions in the Middle East, just hours before a deadline that had raised fears of further escalation in the ongoing four-week conflict.

Despite a decline in oil prices, fuel costs continue to show a mixed trend across California, Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida, and New York. Meanwhile, the national average retail price for a gallon of regular gasoline stood at $3.956 on Monday (March 23, 2026), according to AAA.
