The figure marks a slight decline from the previous day's average of $4.174 per gallon and continues a broader downward trend in fuel prices across the country. AAA also reports that the national average has fallen by nearly 20 cents in just one week, offering some relief to motorists as summer travel demand begins to increase.

According to AAA data, California remains the most expensive state in the nation for regular gasoline, with an average price of $5.895 per gallon.

Drivers filling up with mid-grade gasoline are paying an average of $6.110 per gallon, while premium fuel averages $6.302 per gallon. Diesel prices are especially elevated at $7.172 per gallon.


Gas price today in Texas

Texas continues to rank among the least expensive states for fuel, with regular gasoline averaging $3.627 per gallon, approximately 54 cents below the national average.

AAA reports mid-grade gasoline averaging $4.084 per gallon, while premium gasoline stands at $4.449 per gallon. Diesel prices currently average $4.708 per gallon statewide.

Florida motorists are paying an average of $3.781 per gallon for regular gasoline, placing the state comfortably below the national average.
