Gas Prices Today June 5, 2026: The national average price of regular gasoline fell by 18 cents over the past week to $4.24 per gallon, marking a second consecutive weekly decline. Fuel prices continued to ease as crude oil remained priced below the $100-per-barrel mark, according to AAA Fuel Prices website. Drivers will take all the relief they can get as they embark on summer road trips. But uncertainty lingers over when the Strait of Hormuz will fully reopen and resume traffic.

The national average for gas price dropped to $4.2200 on Friday (June 05, 2026) from $4.2410 on Thursday (June 04, 2026), according to the AAA website, marking a day-over-day decline.
