American drivers are continuing to see relief at the pump as gasoline prices decline for the third consecutive week. According to the latest data from the American Automobile Association (AAA), the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline stands at $3.999 as of June 18, 2026.

The latest figure keeps the national average below the $4 mark and reflects a broader easing in fuel prices across much of the United States. AAA's latest fuel market update notes that pump prices have fallen for three straight weeks, offering welcome relief to motorists heading into the busy summer driving season.

While prices remain elevated in several western and northeastern states, many parts of the South and Midwest continue to report gasoline costs well below the national average.

According to AAA, regular gasoline in California averages $5.642 per gallon, roughly $1.64 higher than the national average. Mid-grade gasoline costs $5.882 per gallon, while premium fuel averages $6.068 per gallon. Diesel prices remain among the highest in the country at $6.877 per gallon.

Gas Price Today in Texas

AAA data shows regular gasoline averaging $3.493 per gallon, approximately 51 cents below the national average. Mid-grade gasoline currently averages $3.988 per gallon, while premium fuel costs $4.353 per gallon. Diesel prices stand at $4.540 per gallon statewide.

Florida motorists are paying $3.705 per gallon for regular gasoline, keeping the state comfortably below the national average.

Mid-grade gasoline averages $4.170 per gallon, while premium fuel costs $4.511 per gallon. Diesel prices currently average $4.790 per gallon.

Gas Price Today in New York

AAA reports regular gasoline averaging $4.293 per gallon, nearly 30 cents above the national average. Mid-grade fuel currently averages $4.820 per gallon, while premium gasoline costs $5.205 per gallon. Diesel prices stand at $5.677 per gallon statewide.

Gas Price Today in Washington

Regular gasoline averages $5.436 per gallon, making it the second-highest statewide average in the nation behind California. Mid-grade fuel costs $5.736 per gallon, while premium gasoline averages $5.985 per gallon. Diesel prices currently stand at $6.368 per gallon.

Gas Price Today in Hawaii

According to AAA, regular gasoline averages $5.570 per gallon, while mid-grade fuel costs $5.782 per gallon. Premium gasoline averages $6.013 per gallon, and diesel prices stand at $7.058 per gallon, the highest diesel average among all states.
