GAS Price News Today April 25: Gas prices across the most populous US states continue to show a wide regional divide. Overall, gas prices across the states follow a consistent tiered pattern, rising from regular to mid-grade to premium, with diesel as the most expensive fuel type in every case.

The AAA reported that the national average gas price rose to $4.086 per gallon on April 25, 2026, up from $4.059 the previous day. California and New York show higher overall pricing trends, Texas remains the lowest, Florida falls in a mid-range, and Pennsylvania closely aligns with New York but at a slightly lower level, according to AAA Fuel Prices website.

On April 23, 2026, the national average witnessed a drop of 6 cents from last week to $4.031. The decline comes as crude oil prices have dropped below $100 per barrel, helping reduce gasoline costs for consumers. However, it remains unclear how long the downward trend will continue due to the ongoing instability along the Strait of Hormuz.

Here are the gas price averages (per gallon) for top US states (Saturday, April 25, 2026).
