FanDuel was reportedly down on May 7, leaving thousands of users unable to access the sports betting platform during a reported server outage. According to Downdetector, reports related to the FanDuel outage surged throughout the evening. By 9:44 PM EDT, the outage tracking website showed more than 4,500 reports, although complaints had earlier spiked to nearly 7,500 at one point.

Several users took to social media to voice frustration over the reported issues, with many claiming they were unable to place bets, cash out wagers, or access their accounts during live games.

FanDuel Support on X acknowledged the issue in a public statement, saying, “Our team is aware and investigating the current technical difficulties prohibiting users from accessing our platform." Adding, "We will follow up as soon as we have an update.”

One user shared a screenshot of the error message appearing on the sports betting page amid the FanDuel down reports. “The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application,” the message reads.

Social media quickly filled with reactions from frustrated customers demanding compensation, refunds, and bonus bets.
