Two people were injured in a shooting outside Sam’s BBQ in East Austin, prompting a swift police response and an ongoing search for the suspect. Authorities say the incident occurred late on Sunday night, creating panic in the busy area as gunfire rang out. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital, and their conditions have not been officially disclosed.

The incident is reported to have occurred near the intersection of Chicon and Alamo streets. According to the Austin American-Statesman, the shooting happened outside Sam’s BBQ, a well-known local spot.
