German kitchenware manufacturer ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Aktiengesellschaft has recalled more than 113,000 electric kettles in the United States after reports that the product’s handle can loosen or separate, causing hot liquid to spill and posing a serious burn risk.

Costco announced the recall on May 14 affecting the ZWILLING Enfinigy 1.5-l and Enfinigy Pro 1.5-l electric kettle models. In addition to the units sold in the US, around 43,963 kettles were sold in Canada and 48 in Mexico. The kettles were sold at HomeGoods stores across the US and online through ZWILLING between December 2019 and February 2026. Prices ranged from $120 to $200.

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, “the kettle’s handle can loosen and separate from the kettle, causing hot contents to spill, posing a risk of serious injury due to a burn hazard.”
