Chinese rescue teams launched a large-scale evacuation operation after severe flooding inundated parts of Guangxi, leaving thousands of students and teachers stranded at schools cut off by rising floodwaters. Torrential rainfall submerged roads and surrounding communities, making conventional rescue efforts difficult and forcing emergency crews to rely on specialized equipment and advanced technology. Leading the operation was China Anneng Construction Group, an emergency engineering force equipped with rapidly deployable floating bridge systems. The team used self-propelled pontoon barges that can be transported by road, launched into floodwaters, and connected to form large floating platforms. The vessels can reportedly carry up to 500 passengers in a single trip, making them ideal for mass evacuations during floods.

The operation has drawn widespread attention for its use of innovative rescue technology in a large-scale emergency. Images and videos released by Chinese authorities showcased the coordinated response, highlighting how specialized engineering equipment and modern aerial systems can play a vital role in protecting lives during natural disasters. As Guangxi begins recovery efforts, the rescue mission stands as one of the region's most significant flood evacuation operations in recent years.

The rescue fleet was deployed to Guangxi, where rising waters had trapped thousands of people inside educational institutions. According to Bastille Post Global, authorities said the floating platforms safely evacuated around 6,000 college students, ferrying them from flooded campuses to secure locations despite challenging water conditions. Rescue efforts also extended beyond the use of pontoon vessels.

Emergency responders employed heavy-lift drones to transport emergency supplies, assess flood damage, and assist in reaching isolated areas that remained inaccessible by road or boat. Conventional helicopters supported the operation by conducting aerial surveillance and helping coordinate rescue missions across the affected region, reported the media outlet.

Officials estimated that more than 10,000 students and teachers were impacted as floodwaters surrounded multiple boarding schools in Guangxi. The combination of floating rescue carriers, drones, and air support enabled emergency teams to respond more efficiently and reduce the risks posed by the rapidly changing conditions.
