The footage obtained by the outlet depicted a man casually crossing a buzzing Interstate-5 in Seattle when a WSP patrol car showed up. The suspect stopped and rushed up to the driver-side door and pulled the cop out of the car with a jerk, pushing her to the freeway pavement. He was then quick to get behind the wheel and speed off.
Police chase the suspect
The incident was followed by an intense police pursuit, which came to an end after WSP officers pinned the car and took the guy into custody, according to TMZ.
Speaking to TMZ, Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said that the female lieutenant seen in the video did not sustain injuries, and she will not be reprimanded for the incident. The incident took place just before noon on Christmas Day.
